Sunday Evening Youth Event – Feel free to bring friends! 6:05 to 7:30 p.m. We start our Sunday evening youth event with some sort of snack (who doesn’t need cookies or nachos or popsicles on a Sunday night?) and then we get after it. Each Sunday night we will worship the Lord in a variety of ways: fellowship, eating, singing, hearing God’s Word preached and taught, and enjoying a game or two.
After the large–group teaching time, we will break into small groups for a time of discussion and application. Our adult leaders serve as small-group facilitators to help the students understand and apply God’s Word to their everyday lives.
We have a unique opportunity in that our Sunday Night Youth Event is made up of students from three churches in the Bryan-College Station area—Living Hope College Station, New Life, and Living Hope Bryan. We are blessed to learn, grow, and serve together!
The basis for a successful student ministry is when the youth workers and families are doing life together. Relationships take time to be built, and that time has to be outside the walls of our church building. We ask our workers to pursue 1-2 students and their families.
Students will get the benefit of observing the daily life of someone who is seeking to honor the Lord by their life. And, you (as parents) will have someone to support and affirm the biblical teaching that you give your children. So that means you may have some workers over to play basketball, have dinner, or offer to take your child out for coffee or to go grocery shopping. (Creativity is the key here….)
