Living Hope on Misson

At Living Hope, we believe that Missions is the heartbeat of our Body. We strive to meet needs and share Christ here in our community and all around the world. Local, national, and worldwide mission needs and causes are all emphasized at Living Hope. We believe that all believers are called to be involved with missions, whether it be through GOING, GIVING, PRAYING, or ADVOCATING, and we offer many real-life opportunities to meet needs and share Christ amongst our neighbors and to the ends of the earth.

Scheduled 2012 Mission Trips

• Nicaragua - March 10-17, 2012 (full)
• Haiti - March 10-17, 2012 (full)
• Edinburg, TX - March 11-17, 2012. Cost is $275 per person age 15 and up; $175 ages 10-14; $100 ages 10 and under. Deposit of $100 due no later than February 20 with the remaining balance due by March 6. Sign-up now for annual trip full of fellowship, construction, evangelism and kdis. Great family mission trip.
• San Francisco, CA - May 19-26 (Cost: $1000 or less, Will join with City Impact to minister the Tenderloin District. Sign-up ends February 29, 2012)
• Haiti - June 15-23, 2012 (Cost: $1800, sign-up ends February 29, 2012; this trip will include teaching, evangelism, building, kids, VBS and more.)

If you are interested in applying for an international mission trip, you must complete the LHBC International Missions Application (for each individual trip you're interested in) and submit it by the due date listed above.

Mission Organizations

Living Hope is involved with a number of local and worldwide mission organizations. Click on any of the links below to find out more information about the different organizations that we support and partner with, as we go forth to meet needs and share the good news of Jesus Christ with the lost and unchurched of the world.

Local (Community and College) Organizations:

• Save Our Streets (SOS) Ministries: SOS Ministries began in 1993 in an effort to combat the escalating gang tension in Bryan/College Station at that time. They partner with approximately 300 volunteers and over 75 churches to take the love of Jesus Christ to the streets.  A great place for our members to minister in the community! • Twin City Mission: Twin City Mission, which opened in 1963, offers a variety of services, including homeless & housing services, donation & resale services, domestic violence services, and youth & family services. For more information, call 979-822-7511, or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. • Hope Pregnancy: Hope Pregnancy Center of Brazos Valley provides support, services, and information to pregnant women in the Bryan/College Station area. Our body can make an incredible impact on the lives of those you will come into contact with. Be ready to share Christ! • EMBRACE Brazos Valley: A recent ministry start at Living Hope Baptist Church that is involved in construction, food distribution, and other great areas of ministry. • Emmanuel Lighthouse Mission: A ministry of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bryan, Emmanuel Lighthouse Mission provides transitional housing and Christian discipleship and mentoring in a structured drug- and alcohol-free environment to needy women in the community. • Pioneers: Also a ministry of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bryan, Pioneers ministers to the children and youth of Bryan through the Pioneers Friday Church. Hosted at EBC and staffed with college students from area churches, the program provides bible study, songs, recreation, and crafts. • Impact: Impact exists to provide a weekend of spiritual growth to college freshmen. A great place for our seasoned college students to volunteer. • Breakaway: Breakaway is a non-denominational, weekly Bible study on the campus of TAMU. It introduces college students to Jesus Christ and connects them to Christ's community and His mission. • Baptist Student Ministry: Texas A&M BSM strives to provide opportunities of growth, fellowship, and leadership for students in their walk with Christ through discipleship, mission trips, service to the campus and community, and general times of fellowship and fun. International Organizations:

• Word of Life in Nicaragua: Word of Life is focused on reaching young people around the world with the gospel of Christ, through camps, conferences, Bible clubs, sports marathons, discipleship, and evangelistic teams. Living Hope supports missionaries Jader and Julie Arguello in Nicaragua. • Gospel for Asia: Based in Carrolton, Texas, the primary aim of Gospel for Asia is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who have never before heard His name. GFA trains and sends national missionaries to the most unreached areas and populations. • Samaritan's Purse—Operation Christmas Child: Samaritan's Purse, a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization, provides worldwide spiritual and physical aid to victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, and famine with the purpose of sharing God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ. Operation Christmas Child demonstrates God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world by collecting and distributing shoe boxes filled with gifts at Christmas time. • Frontiers: Frontiers is an international movement of nearly a thousand workers from dozens of countries in North America, South America, Asia, Africa, and Europe whose focus is on loving Muslims and, with love and respect, inviting all Muslim people to follow Jesus.
