In 1 Corinthians 12:26, when Paul speaks of the members of the Body and of each member’s important role, he says, "If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it."
We must not let Living Hope go without the technology assistance needed. Everyone has a part and a skill that may be used by the Lord for the spreading of His Kingdom. LH has been extraordinarily blessed to have the financial means to acquire technology and use it for the purpose and work of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Look around the next time you are at church and notice the technology devices that are in use at LH. These devices must be configured, secured, maintained, replaced, optimized, and strategically transitioned out of service through replacement of a new technology solution. The very website that provides the information before your eyes must be maintained.
Technology is a critical component to nearly every event at LH. The Technology Ministry Team exists to serve all other ministries at LH, every member, every guest, and indeed the entire world through the website. We must deliver the resources in the right way, at the right time, so that we do not hinder God's Word or cause undue burden upon God's people at LH.
We need your technical skills! You do not have to be an I.T. employee, a computer science major, or a self-proclaimed technology guru to be part of this team. For example, you may have specialized skills in Microsoft Publisher from years of creating flyers or birthday cards. Wonderful! We need your specialized skills. You can contribute in more ways than you know. What if you don’t like technology but love to write? This too would be a great contribution, as we desire to do what we document and document what we do.
We need assistance, as far as we currently know, with the following: networking, printing, server support, telecom, multimedia, operating system support, software troubleshooting (Office suite, browsers, ad-hoc software, etc.), the website, cabling, technical planning, project management, and as many areas as the Lord lays on the heart of LH.
In the coming months, we will be defining and executing:
There is plenty to do, so please prayerfully consider your place on the Technology Ministry Team.
