Missions is the heartbeat of this Body. As the Lord continues to expand our ministries to the ends of the earth, we are watching and praying that we will respond to where He is working.

We as a body are blessed by those that are willing to answer the call and command of Matthew 28:18 and go out and be the hands and feet to the world. As a body, we were able to send out three teams to various parts of the world in the past month. One team was sent to Southeast Asia, another to Seattle, and our youth had the opportunity to serve in Arlington. While the work that these teams accomplished was important, we must not forget that we are blessed here in this community with the opportunity to take the Gospel to the ends of the Earth without ever leaving the city limits.

In 2016, 126 different nations were represented at Texas A&M. By just walking out the door and into our community we literally have the possibility to reach 126 different nations! Additionally, many of these students will not stay here and will go back to their home countries or elsewhere into the world - now imagine if they go back sharing the truth of the Gospel wherever they are called to go! We must always remember that while short term trips are amazing opportunities, they are opportunities to be trained, equipped, and be on mission through serving the community that we live in until we are called to our next mission field.

God is continually working around us, have you stopped to see what He is doing? Opportunities to serve Him abound if we just take the time to seek Him and open our eyes to our surroundings. Sadly, many of us get caught up in our everyday lives, which causes us to miss what He is trying to show us. We fail to see when our neighbors are hurting, or we don’t notice the struggles that our cashier at the grocery store may be experiencing because we don’t take the time to get to know them or even have a real conversation. Don’t miss the opportunities that He provides; take a step back and pause to see what He is trying to show you.

This month we strive to give you additional opportunities to serve and share the love of Christ by being the hands and feet. There are two great missional opportunities to be further equipped through service: Aggie Move-In and the Howdy Cookout. Both events allow you to love our new students, begin new relationships, and share the Gospel or sow seeds. Please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. • Howdy Cookout - watch for details!

  • At Living Hope, we reach out in many ways, striving to meet needs and share Christ here in our community and all around the world. We desire to minister Christ to the helpless and hurting of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds in hopes that they will come to personally know the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Join us in serving communities locally and around the world as an individual, with a Hope Group, or as a family. Pray for workers and pray for people around the world to come to know Jesus as Savior and Lord.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8 (NIV)missions web image

Are you ready to get involved in what God is doing? Our strategy and philosophy of mission ministry is seen in the above verse. Local, national, and worldwide mission needs and causes are all emphasized here at Living Hope. We offer real-life opportunities to meet needs and share Christ amongst our neighbors and to the ends of the earth. By getting outside the walls of a building and into our very real world, you can be the very hands and feet of Christ before a watching and hurting world.

    Ways to Get Involved

    • Join the Team: The Mission Team is praying for those interested in joining our team; please pray and see if that is YOU! We have monthly meetings, usually the third Sunday of each month, at 4 p.m. Members of our team help organize, plan, and help to prepare our body for missions. We are involved with people locally as well as others around the world. If you are passionate about following a life on mission, please come be part of this team.
