Missions is the heartbeat of this Body. As the Lord continues to expand our ministries to the ends of the earth, we are watching and praying that we will respond to where He is working.

In what ways can you be involved in Gospel-centered missions this summer?

Pointing people to the work of Christ here and around the world helps them see and hopefully join in with what God is doing. Meeting needs and sharing Christ as God opens doors is truly a joy. The Missions Ministry Team honestly tries to identify areas where God is already at work around us. Events and ministries we support are meant to be places of need and where you can be equipped to share the Gospel.

We are sincerely praying, watching and listening to what is happening all around us. We seek to get away from ministry that we do or support just because we “always” have, because we desire to be faithful stewards of our church resources. So, what about this summer? SE Asia and Seattle will be two trips people will go on. Pray!

The most exciting opportunities around here come through our various children’s and youth activities. VBS and Super-duper-magnificent-stupendous-really-crazy Fun Day, Door-Hanger Dash/Race, Preteen Camp, Mission Arlington and more, are all about reaching new kids, with our kids, so that we can help them come to faith in Jesus and not be so bored at home. Can you invest a week or even a few days for this? These are just some of the ways you too can be involved in Gospel-centered missions this summer. Please pray for these ministry opportunities today, and plan to join God where He is at work!

“And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Luke 10:2 ESV

  • At Living Hope, we reach out in many ways, striving to meet needs and share Christ here in our community and all around the world. We desire to minister Christ to the helpless and hurting of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds in hopes that they will come to personally know the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Join us in serving communities locally and around the world as an individual, with a Hope Group, or as a family. Pray for workers and pray for people around the world to come to know Jesus as Savior and Lord.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8 (NIV)missions web image

Are you ready to get involved in what God is doing? Our strategy and philosophy of mission ministry is seen in the above verse. Local, national, and worldwide mission needs and causes are all emphasized here at Living Hope. We offer real-life opportunities to meet needs and share Christ amongst our neighbors and to the ends of the earth. By getting outside the walls of a building and into our very real world, you can be the very hands and feet of Christ before a watching and hurting world.

    Ways to Get Involved

    • Join the Team: The Mission Team is praying for those interested in joining our team; please pray and see if that is YOU! We have monthly meetings, usually the third Sunday of each month, at 4 p.m. Members of our team help organize, plan, and help to prepare our body for missions. We are involved with people locally as well as others around the world. If you are passionate about following a life on mission, please come be part of this team.
