The Great Commission is a command to make disciples of all Nations, teaching them to be everything obedient followers of Jesus. Everything we do at Living Hope is a part of this disciple-making process. The gospel that so graciously and powerfully saves, also changes our lives.

The School of Discipleship is the content and structure for our discipleship classes, Bible teaching and interaction with the Word of God and with other believers. It is a flexible, defined and focused place to learn the truth of Scripture. Not only do we desire to help believers be theologically sound, we want to equip them to be wise counsel as they live and teach and challenge others to live in obedience to God’s perfect Word. Growing and learning in Christ and His Word will bring great confidence in our daily lives and in the marketplace as we seek to make more disciples of Jesus, living unashamed of the gospel.

Luke 9:23-26: “And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself? For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.” (ESV)

We want to help and equip believers deny themselves, taking on suffering, as they follow Jesus. We hope to give them answers to the questions they are asking. What does Scripture say about spiritual maturity, healthy doctrine, Bible study, marriage, sexual sin, gossip, serving, prayer, grace, holiness, a rebellious child, voting, freedom and so much more? How do you apply Scripture in disagreements? How do you deal with lies, slander and gossip? How do you make wise, Biblical everyday life decisions? What is love? Simple things like these are often made based upon emotions, friendships even culture rather than truth. We know that most at LH desire to grow, learn, live and love as gospel-centered believers, so we are dedicated to helping.

“Making disciples is not an easy process. It is trying. It is messy. It is slow, tedious, even painful at times. It is all these things because it is relational. Jesus has not given us an effortless step-by-step formula for impacting nations for his glory. He has given us people, and he has said, Live for them. Love them, serve them, and lead them. Lead them to follow me, and lead them to lead others to follow me. In the process, you will multiply the gospel to the ends of the earth.” From Radical, by David Platt
