Get Involved Community Outreach

Welcome to the Community Ministries page. Living Hope is involved in a number of ministry opportunities in our community and beyond.

Workdays and Block Parties and More

One of the most exciting ways to get involved in unique ministry is through these special days. Our body is needed for two-hour to six-hour projects and activities that not only meet very real needs, but also encourage unity and love in our community. Construction projects, free clothes washing, fun park activities, prayerwalking, nursing home visits, and more are always on the agenda as we seek to be the church scattered for God’s glory.

Mission Opportunities

Local Missions

Throughout the year, we support a number of local mission organizations. Click here and scroll down to Mission Organizations to see a complete list, along with a brief explanation and contact information of each organization.

State Missions

Each Spring Break we set out for locations within Texas or other U.S. states for hands-on construction and Bible Clubs. This entry-level mission opportunity will capture and break your hearts for very real people living in America at a level you may not have dreamed possible. Plan your vacation, even as a family, for this life-changing ministry.

In Texas, there are many other mission opportunities, as we have partnered with other Texas churches to impact our state for Christ. Spanish is quickly becoming a language of necessity for those who want to be available to God for ministry. The links below will provide you with more ideas for ministry.

National Missions

Living Hope connects with other Baptist churches around North America to support thousands of missionaries. Click on the following link for more ministry ideas and prayer opportunities: North American Mission Board.

International Missions

In cooperation with Baptist churches around the world, Living Hope supports over 5,000 short-term and long-term missionaries. Some are in countries that are closed, working as tent-makers (they have other jobs and expertise), and some are in countries as known missionaries, all for the purpose of sharing Christ to the ends of the earth.

Every December, we ask our body to give sacrificially for these special mission endeavors. Giving is a needed part of missions. You can get personally involved with them today by identifying missionaries and areas of the world that need to see a movement of God.
