Our core classes include the following:

Foundations

In this class, you will invest 10 short weeks of your life into growing and understanding more about your Christian faith. In many ways, we want to help jumpstart your familiarity with the Bible and understanding of it as the Word of God. You will study key Christian beliefs, Bible figures, and Bible stories. You will understand more about what Christians believe and also develop skills for personal discovery. Foundations is basic enough to not overwhelm the new believer but also in-depth enough to help long-time believers. Our prayer and desire is to see God use this study to teach you more about Him and His kingdom agenda for your life in this world. From the beginning of this class, we want you to offer yourself to your Lord for discovery and dynamic growth. By knowing your God more intimately and yielding to His Spirit, you will enjoy fruitful days of growth in the weeks ahead.

Living by the Book

You want to grow as a Christian. You want to understand God’s truth and will. You want to live as Christ lived. In short, you want to become a person who is...Living by the Book. This study will show you how, by unlocking the “secrets” of effective Bible study. Actually, there’s no secret at all! This class will teach you to study Scripture by showing you how inductive Bible study works. Observation, interpretation, and application will be the focus of your study so that you can prepare, read, and understand Scripture in a more purposeful way. Why is this important? Consider the Bereans in Acts 17:11—”Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.” Do you know the truth, or do you depend on someone else to tell you? Jesus said, “I am the truth.” He is truth, our standard by which we measure our lives. So please join us as we come together to check out God’s word.

Experiencing God

Over the years, this phenomenal discipleship resource has helped many at Living Hope develop a more intimate relationship with God. Through personal study and group discussion, you will learn how to recognize when God is speaking to you. This 12-session class helps Christians understand the importance of His timing and how to respond obediently. The result of this obedience is a fresh and exciting spiritual walk. Are you ready to begin Experiencing God at work through you?

Christian Beliefs

God doesn't call every Christian to go off to seminary, but there are certain matters of doctrine—that is, the Church's teaching—that every Christian simply must know. Theology is important because what we believe affects how we live. If you're a relatively new believer in Jesus, or if you're a more mature Christian looking for a quick brush-up on basics of the faith, Christian Beliefs is for you. This study is a guide to twenty basic Christian beliefs and is a condensation of Wayne Grudem's book on systematic theology. This study has boiled down the essentials of Christian theology for the average layperson and made them both clear and applicable to life. You will learn about the Bible, the characteristics of God, what it means to be created in the image of God, what God has done for us in Christ, the purpose of the Church, and much more.
